  • Designed and led student tours to Rome, Paris, Prague, Florence and rural Czech Republic.

EMPLOYMENT

2010-20011 Visual Arts teacher: AIS Vienna

  • Accepted a one year contract for an upper school Visual Arts program that needed re-vitalization and some restructuring.
  • Attended ECIS conference and pre-conference in Nice

 

2006-2009 Visual Arts teacher: International School of Azerbaijan

  • Wrote cross cultural and interdisciplinary curriculum for the IB/DP and MYP Visual Arts classes.
  • Attended IBO workshops in Basel, Shanghai, and Seville.
  • Designed and directed field trips to Prague, Paris and Florence.
  • Designed community projects with Homeroom classes contributing to refugee centers and orphanages.

 

2005-2006 Visual Arts teacher: Beijing International School

  • Supply teacher for an IB/DP and MYP program between mid October and February.
  • Designed units to be used for MYP Moderation
  • Supplied support and instruction for IB2 classes  at a crucial time

 

1994-2004 Visual Arts Teacher:  International School of Prague

  • Developed a visual arts program in a fast growing international school that emphasized a cross-cultural approach to the arts.
  • Collaborated with other departments on many community projects including Arts Festivals, Performing Arts projects, fund raisers, interdisciplinary units, and school trips.
  • Collaborated twice with certification process.
  • Designed a unit on the history of architecture within my diploma program classes based on Prague and Rome. Led trips to Rome every other year.
  • Developed units based on Central European history and mythology, collaborated with Czech artists on class projects.
  • Attended professional development conferences and workshops in Bahrain, Istanbul, Nice, Amsterdam, Düsseldorf, and Warsaw.

 

EDUCATION

1965-1972 University of Idaho, Moscow, Idaho:  Bachelor of Science in Education: Art/History

1973-1983 University of Idaho:  Completed 38 semester hours interdisciplinary studies and studio art classes.
